Voice to Book
This is like ghostwriting, only trickster-style. What if you could write your book…without ever touching a keyboard?
You know you have a book inside you.
You also know you'd rather talk about it than write it.
Maybe you're the person who sends five-minute voice notes instead of texts. Maybe you can spend hours talking about your favorite topics, sharing stories, teaching what you know, or interviewing others. You have ideas, expertise, and lived experience—but sitting down to write a book feels like an impossible task.
Perhaps you don't consider yourself a writer. Maybe you don't have the time.
Voice-to-Book, our signature scribing process, was designed for people exactly like you.
Before there were authors, there were storytellers. Before there were books, there were scribes.
What if you could capture the entire content of your book in as little as ten hours of conversation?
Instead of staring at a blank page, you'll hop on a call with us (or step outside) and do what you do best – talk!
We'll do all the important thinking. Prepared with thoughtful and highly specific interview questions, we’ll pull out your stories, uncover insights, challenge assumptions, and help organize your ideas into a compelling manuscript.
Most of our authors describe the experience as feeling less like work and more like having a deep conversation with a trusted friend.
(And let's be honest—we all enjoy talking about the things we care about.)
After each session, we transform those conversations into beautifully written chapters that capture your voice, personality, stories, and wisdom.
You have the option to do this editing work yourself, or to have us take care of it for you. A few days after your session, you'll receive a fresh chapter draft and watch your book take shape in real time.
Voice-to-Book is a process that goes like this
-
1. Book Development
We sit together and strategize to come up with a solid game plan, working title, outline, and chapter summaries for your book. This will help us build our interview questions and capture all your content points thoroughly and completely.
-
2. Content Capture Scheduling
We’ll set up a recording session schedule that works perfectly with your lifestyle. No more being haunted by hours at your desk – just jump on a call with us once a week and get it done in half the time.
-
3. Content Captures
Our sessions are scheduled, now all you have to do is show up! We’ll guide you through each session so you only have to focus on being present, comfortable, and ready to speak.
-
4. Consolidation + Editing
We’ll send you all the recordings from your sessions. You can choose to edit them on your own, or have us turn them into a first draft on your behalf. We turn around each chapter right after it’s recorded, so week by week your book starts to appear in your inbox.

Many aspiring authors assume writing a book takes years.
With this process, most books can be completed in approximately three months—including concept development, chapter creation, and manuscript drafting.
If inspiration strikes and you want to write additional material yourself, amazing. If not, that's okay too. Your only job is to show up and talk.
-
Depends. If you want to edit your recorded conversation transcripts yourself, make them coherent and organize them into a book, our base price is $7k. However if you’d like us to take care of that initial polish so that you can get right into proper editing, it’s an additional $1k per chapter. The average project range is $14-20k.
You can absolutely pay this in installments if desired. -
Ghostwriting is the practice of a person being hired to write literary, journalistic, musical, or other texts that are officially credited to another individual as the author. The ghostwriter typically remains anonymous, though they may receive payment via flat fees, royalties, or credit as a "researcher" or "co-author" depending on the contract.
Voice-To-Book is a content capture process we’ve developed to help people write books using their voice instead of their hands.
Unlike ghostwriters, we don’t write “for you,” we interview you in an extremely strategic way to elicit your ideas directly, and organize them into a coherent document you can turn into a draft of your own.
This service designed to help people who feel more comfortable speaking, write their books faster and without fear.
We do not require an acknowledgment or credit for this service in your published book. -
We record sessions online via Zoom. We provide you with the audio of each session as well as the raw transcription.
You can record sessions from your office, your couch, your favorite hiking trail, your parked car between appointments, or curled up in bed with your cat in your lap. As long as you can speak clearly and have a reliable internet connection, you're ready to write your book.
